Joost will be where you can see online videos of The Real World and Road Rules provided directly from MTV by June 2007.
Viacom, which MTV Networks is a division of, sent notice to YouTube to pull all of its programming from the site in early February. You may have noticed old videos of The Real World Road Rules no longer located on YouTube and replaced with a notice of:
This video has been removed at the request of copyright owner Viacom International because its content was used without permission
YouTube was bought last year by Google but as of yet there is no advertising revenue sharing for the distributors, but Joost has agreed with Viacom to share advertising revenue with them in this deal.
Joost.com claims to have the first free broadcast quality Internet TV service and guaranteeing copyright protection for content creators and owners. Joost is now in beta as it was created by Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis of Skype and KaZaA.
Viacom videos to be on Joost include programs seen on VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures among others.

Tyler Duckworth of Real World Key West fame has recently announced an auction of the swag he received at the MTV VMAs last year.
Tyler is auctioning these items off on EBay with a part of the proceeds going to a foundation he is starting to bring visibility and awareness to gay athletes….which would be to the dismay of some such as Tim Hardaway.
He is auctioning off such items as Docle & Gobbana Malibu Sunglasses, Dolce & Gobbana Aviators, a Felix bag, and a Tallulah hangbag.
Tyler’s performance at The Comedy Store in LA on January 13th was a great success which has brought him some exciting comedic opportunities which will be updated here on the MM Agency blog as well his personal site www.tylerduck.com

Tyrie, Davis, & Colie from The Real World Denver lectured at West Chester University in Pennsylvania on Friday February 2nd where they revealed some of the rules thrust upon them during the show.
The old rule is still in force where the cast and production crew are prohibited from talking to each other which stems from the first season of The Real World where a cast member, Becky, was romantic with one of the production control room directors.
They also brought to light rules that I was not aware of such as getting fined for not always using the home phone as opposed to using a pay or cell phone, passing notes so the camera can’t see, and not wearing their microphones at all times.
They did fail to mention other rules I am aware of such as not being able to tell people you meet that you are on The Real World while filming and the fact that you will not find a TV in a Real World house.
During the 2nd season in LA, John, was constantly watching TV whereby reducing his and other cast members interaction, ie drama. Better social interaction is gained when a pool table or jacuzzi is present which is why one or both are in every Real World house.
A television was only brought out after the LA season on two occasions, once during the Seattle season for the cast to witness the slapping incident and the second was during the Chicago season for the cast to see the footage of the September 11th attacks which occured during filming.
CORRECTION - I was corrected by a reader as I failed to mention the third time a television was brought in for The Real World cast which was during the Paris season to view President Bush’s ultimatum to Iraq just before the war in March 2003.
Using the computer and internet is also limited in the house.
