The former MTV Real World DC house at 2000 S St. NW is being shopped by Papadopoulos Properties to be sold as a restaurant.
Douglas Development property owns the building used last summer for The Real World DC house which was previously leased to Sorg Architect, an architecture firm.
The 2,700-square-foot property is zoned to allow retail as one of it uses so the owners deem a restaurant to be the logical choice to lease out for the bottom floor while the top floor will become office spaces.
The rent will be somewhere in the high $30s or low $40s per square foot and require the occupier to build out the restaurant themselves.
The building works well for a restaurant tenant because it has the venting systems in place, easy access to an alley for trash and deliveries, along with a great outdoor seating area.
Also it has the Dupont Circle foot traffic and a lower rent than comparative properties even a block away.
If you want a piece of what was inside the actual Real World house then there is Logan Circle’s Gallery Plan b selling the artwork seen in the show.
