Newspapers such as the Des Moines Register are reporting on the progress of their locals who are progressing through the next Real World 19 casting process.
The paper reports Iowa State’s Dustin Streff is on the cusp of the 2nd to last cuts in the casting process to be selected for the next Real World which starts filming in January 2007. He could also be cast for Road Rules or the next Real World Road Rules challenge to be filmed, Fresh Meat 2, which would be filmed around the same time.
He was told he might need a passport if selected for the Real World, although the location has not been disclosed as of yet. This passport may in fact be needed for the challenge or Road Rules rather than be an insight to the Real World location being outside the US.
Dustin Streff is on the Iowa State Cyclone’s basketball team at 6-foot-7 and 245-pounds. Fellow Iowa State alumni athlete Mallory Snyder, who was on the soccer team at Iowa State, was on the Real World Paris and eventually a modeling career where she had been on the past 2 Sports Illustrated Swim Suit issues.
Dustin was found on Myspace, similar to Brooke LaBarbera of the Real World Denver, and was given a VIP pass to go to the front of the Ames, Iowa casting call in the summer of 2006.
Would be interesting if Dustin makes it in the end and appears on any of the Real World Road Rules shows, but above in the video are a collection of audition tapes of current and past Real World cast members that did make it in the end.
