Shareena Bogner in Oceanside California is using an iPhone application to get her votes for the final Real World 22 cast member spot.
Shareena states, “I’ve been using WhosHere for a few weeks now and have already met several interesting people. I want to get voted onto MTV’s The Real World and the ‘on-phone’ WhosHere community was interested in helping out.”
They helped her out so much that they created a special page to allow direct voting from an iPhone to get Shareena on The Real World by going to http://myrete.com/mtv/
WhosHere is a social proximity application focused on enabling users to meet friends, potential dates or just network on the iPhone 3G, iPhone and iPod Touch.
A user has to answer six questions about themselves and who they are interested in meeting and WhosHere will show you matches based on the location you set.
The beauty of the application is that you can send unlimited, free text and image messages while at the same time retain privacy as it eliminates the need give out your phone number, email or IM address.
Seems this application is producing limited results as currently Shareena is on the cusp of the top 500 vote getters with about 8,000 contestants total.
*** Personally I am more a fan of phones using Android from Google, but at this time iPhone does have the numbers. ***
The first round of the online Real World casting call concludes at 9pm EST on Tuesday November 11th as the top 50% vote getters move onto Round 2.
So if you miss out on the online casting process you still have a chance at one of the last open casting calls for The Real World 22 season.
Commenter BEEZY provided me the heads up as this casting call will take place at 11am to 6pm this Friday November 14th north of San Diego at the University of California, Riverside in The Commons, Room 302 on 900 University Avenue – The Student Commons is located in the center of campus by the bell tower.
Riverside California is also where Johanna Botta of The Real World Austin was cast.
