March 23rd, 2007 at 8:50 am
This better not be the last season. The show has so much more potential and to end with 20 is pretty sad even for Reality TV.
MTV is gonna go downhill without this series as well.
March 23rd, 2007 at 8:58 am
Last I heard MTV may talk about extending the contract after the Sydney Real World depending on its ratings.
March 23rd, 2007 at 4:01 pm
REAL WORLD can’t end now i been watching for da longest. I’m 23 and wanna roll on da real world. MTV would’nt be the same without it.
March 23rd, 2007 at 6:00 pm
i hope wat MM says is true cuz if it isnt ill cry !
March 26th, 2007 at 11:39 pm
Finally!!! Hooray!! I admit, in the beginning I was a fan. But the show took a downward spiral at RW:Las Vegas and has never recovered. A bunch of young people drinking, having sex, fighting and then drink some more, have sex and fight. All those begging to keep it around because you want to be on it - get a life! The show began to suffer because of people like you. “I’m 17 I just started watching the show with Key West, I love it, and I want to be on it when I’m old enough” - Give me a break! If that is your experience with the show and you still want on - then something tells me you are just more of the same ‘cast’ style that has ruined a great show. If the show were to continue, bring back the Pedros and Kevins the Julies and Cynthias and even the Pucks. These were people with personalities and ambitions not just cookie cutter tight bodied blondes with a penchant for drinking and ‘kissing boys’ Those who are such ‘fans’ of the later seasons really need to take inventory of yourself. I continued to watch in hopes Real World would return to the formula that made them special.
March 27th, 2007 at 1:22 pm
i know that ive have seen the RW since season 12 Las Vegas and i love it ! i just hope it never ends ok and Trace leave Mike A alone well i think wat he means is that hes seen these 2 seasons and he just loves it and well maybe that why i wannabe on it too i dont care wat u think ! ok
LIVE THE REAL WORLD!!

See, your defense for Mike A, though admirable unfortunately means little. You’ve completely missed the jist of my original post. “the show took a downward spiral at RW:Las Vegas”. So, your argument that you’ve been a fan since Las Vegas is just pointless. Okay… try this experiment. The first season is available on DVD - go down to your local video store and rent a copy. Watch it and compare that season to your beloved Las Vegas. If you still feel RW:LV is still the better season - then I guess our societal future has no hope because the our soon to be leaders (you and mike a) treasure partying over intelligence.
April 4th, 2007 at 7:07 pm
You can’t end this show! ive been watching it for 16years!
April 6th, 2007 at 4:01 pm
You can’t end The Real World, its the highest rated show on MTV, reaching over 75-100 million viewers every season, I’ ve been wacthing the show since Season 1, please don’t end it. People who read this tell everybody you know to wacth it, because produceers of The Real World sai if Syndney has low rateings it might be cancel. Tell everybody to wacth it
April 7th, 2007 at 8:31 am
Trace shut the fuck up. Honestly, what kind of name is that to be naming a child anyway?
April 7th, 2007 at 8:37 am
Ryan what season did you come in on? I joined during Miami but couldnt watch anything from 1997-1999 because I was staying in New York and my peeps up there didn’t have cable accept my relatives who lived upstairs.
They didn’t let us watch shit there. ALTHOUGH, I got to SPICE CHANNEL, lol. I finally started rewatching with Hawaii and present ever since. Key West, Paris, N.O., B2NY, Vegas (somewhat) sucked ass.
April 7th, 2007 at 8:37 am
Can’t forget Austin.
April 10th, 2007 at 7:32 am
You can vote for who you want to be on the next season. I was called by MTV after I had sent a tape and they said a select few were chosen to have a website with their casting tape and other info about themselves. I am still waiting for them to create my site but check my myspace and as soon as i get it up and running I will have the link there SO PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!!
April 11th, 2007 at 7:08 am
I got chosen as a finalist for the last season where america will vote for the cast members to be in the house! PLEASE VOTE FOR ME! This has been my dream to be on this show. I’m a hairstylist struggling to make it in life. My myspace is http://www.myspace.com/ericweidner.
April 11th, 2007 at 5:54 pm
I don’t know whats going on, I sent my video for the 19th season but have you already picked the strangers without me? send me information about season 20th. People always say I’m a drama queen but i would really like to find out when people starting getting rude and me being polite. HAHAHA
April 11th, 2007 at 6:41 pm
The cast has not been selected as of yet.
There will be an announcement in the near future about a change in the selection process which will be detailed on this blog as soon as it can be released.

its a much better name than Reynaldo. sounds like the name of a low budget car, missing 3 hubcaps. so do yourself a favor and YOU shut the fuck up if you don’t have anything intelligent to say. dumbass immigrent!
i present a well thought out argument about a show i use to love and which has gone downhill and since you don’t agree your ignorant retarded ass attacks not my view but my name. how fucking stupid can you be? you’ve proven my point beyond a shadow of a doubt - most that worship the show as of late have no brains.
April 17th, 2007 at 2:58 am
oooh oooh, pick me pick me - i have no brain and not a shred of intelligence but i want to be on tv so i can drink and fight and embarass my family…. pleeeeaaassse
April 17th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
I really do not want Real World to end.But I think that they should def. should do one in Atlanta…I mean we have alot of bars and clubs here. And plus Georgia is where it’s at..I would love to be on Real World no matter where it’s at…I just love to have a good time no matter what.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:05 pm
Jessica, honey - the original purpose of the Real World was not to situate seven strangers in ‘alot of bars and clubs’. that, unfort. is what it has turned into and that is why it should end. and the fact that people suggest cities for the next setting based soley on how many bars are there is just sad. it use to be set in cities which were arguably meccas of creativity. New York, L.A, San Francisco. geez… i give up. nobody gets it. i hope at least MTV reads these.
April 19th, 2007 at 6:04 am
I agree with I Give Up. The premise of the show was to see how well 7 strangers interact in various situations living together etc. NOT how much they can party. Jessica - Ms I love to have a good time - Well who doesn’t genius? I’ve never heard anyway shout - Woohooo! I just love to have a bad time.
April 28th, 2007 at 9:23 pm
I don’t drink, and I barely party. I was chosen because this season they’re choosing people who have lives and have goals. They want to get back into the old Realworld. I’m a hairstylist and I also attend college to get my degree in Communications and Sociology. I used to dance tap, jazz, ballet and hip hop. I’m a very driven and determinded person. I want on the show to show off my life. I’m not there to party and OD on alcohol, but to show america who I am as a person and change the way they think about gay people and give insight to the other drunk asses. That’s why they chose me as a finalist, so I hope you all do vote for me because i’m NOTHING like the other people!
April 30th, 2007 at 9:19 am
Hey everyone, I recently got a call from the MTV casting staff telling me that I have a chance to be on the 20th season of Real World. They are currently developing a website that showcases the videos and profiles for a select number of people. I was lucky enough to be chosen to have my profile shown on this website. But the catch is the people on this website have to be voted onto the show. They don’t have the website up as of yet but feel free to visit me at http://www.myspace.com/colors270 Remember when it is time to vote, vote for me : )
April 30th, 2007 at 9:26 am
I too have been chosen to go into the pile for the online voting. I hope you all enjoy what you see and VOTE FOR ME to be in the next Real World House. I am what you see on the video, blog, websites, and anything else with my name on it. I do not pretend to be someone I am not nor do I hide myself from others. I am ready to tell a story and that is what this opportunity is all about.
April 30th, 2007 at 9:39 am
Hey! I will also be on mtv.com with the chance to be on the Real World 20. You can send me an email on my myspace at http://www.myspace.com/ashnquent22 if you have any questions! OR you can IM me at ashnquent22 on aol. Thanks again

May 7th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
I totally agree with Renaldo’s comment from March 23. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that MTV’s “The Real World” can waive goodbye after Season 20!! These days, MTV can pretty much be called just “TV”, and the Real World/Road Rules shows have become by favorite TV shows.
I know that MTV was contracted for 20 Real World seasons, and I think they should be contracted for five more seasons, making it 25 seasons, OR HELL, maybe even let’s make it 10. Some cities that I think would be worthy of a future MTV Real World House are:
Phoenix
Vancouver BC
Atlanta
Detroit
Washington DC
Dallas
Toronto
If there was a RW: Paris, and there’s going to be an upcoming RW: Sydney, I think it should go someplace in Canada, and I feel that either Vancouver or Toronto would be ideal. Texas is WAY TOO BIG a state to only have one Real World season (Austin from a couple of years ago).
LONG LIVE THE REAL WORLD!!!!!!!! REGARDLESS OF RATINGS, MTV WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT IT!!!!
May 9th, 2007 at 5:05 pm
Please mtv dont remove the real world cause if you guys do…..il never watch this damn channel again!
On the real though , I think RW is the best show on tv ever! i love it and I want to be on it.
Even if I live in holland lol
May 12th, 2007 at 1:14 pm
Real World is lame..same this every season…drama, fighting, sex… WOW!..That gets old! take the show down!!! Girls always fight and take their drama to the extreme..lame!
May 16th, 2007 at 2:44 pm
please dnt cancel real world, ive been watchin it since i can remember, its one of ma favourite shows…mtv is gonna be so lame without out it ..seriously
May 16th, 2007 at 2:46 pm
oh yeh all they need to do is leave the gay people out n the show will be the best
May 17th, 2007 at 9:13 pm
hey everyone.i hope the rw stays on the on the air for maybe another 5-10 years.i been a fan since 1992 when i was just 37 yrs old. now i am 52 yrs old and am still watching the show.
i hope it will still around for many years to come.also when will all the shows will be released to dvd and video. i will they would make a older version for people my age because i would love to be on a show like this. think about it. a older verison for the 30-56 age group.how many older rw fans who write in on these shows.i just bet i maybe be one of a few who really enjoy watching all the parties fun drinking sex and best of all the drama.
jimi t. 52 from louisville ky.
May 21st, 2007 at 12:54 pm
so yeah….this is the best show EVER to be aired on MTV…i think the real world should go on for a few more years….like, maybe 10 more houses?? if i ended i would cry!!!
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:49 pm
You know.. i really do like this show. and everybody is complaining that it is too dramatic and too much clubbing/drinking/having sex… get used to it. thats what young people do.. ill have my time in a couple more years.. its ENTERTAINMENT. its not meant to be some ground breaking realization of who you are. come on. its for friday nights when you dont have anything to do. i find it funny.. and real. because if you look back on highschool. or people that are IN highschool.. look at all the drama that goes down there. its going to be like that pretty much your entire life. quit complaining about the real world. its a great show and its good entertainment.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:06 pm
yall should bring the real world back to Texas for one more go around. Preferably Houston (Space City) because it’s more of an international city, but Dallas is also a good possibility, except it would conflict with the cowboy theme already done in the Austin season. Htown has many job opportunities, many different types of people, good night-life, south padre’s only a few hours away. It’d be a real kick-ass season, no doubt.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:12 pm
hell yea dude!!!! i fuckin agree with the post above me. houston would be such a badass place to have the real world. i live in houston so i should know. theres so many badass places around and everyone’s so tight. there’s sooooo many people in houston and it is a well known city around the world that doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. i’d deffinately recommend it for a Real World destination.

Alex Says: its not meant to be some ground breaking realization of who you are. come on. its for friday nights when you dont have anything to do.
You Sir, are an idiot. That is exactly what this show was set up to be - a ground-breaking look at young people as they try to make their way in life. It was not intended to be a look at what happens on Friday nights. Please, if you have nothing intelligent to say - then shut the f*ck up.

alexANDRA Says: im a girl thank u very much. and what kind of show do u know is meant to tell people who they are? no its on MTV get a clue.
Oh forgive me. then you Miss are a moron. no show is meant to tell people who they are. the show was set to WATCH people as they make their way. to get 7 strangers as they learn to interact with one another and discover who they are in the REAL WORLD, so to speak. How REAL is it when you live in this huge friggin’ mansion and party practically every night? I can understand the appeal it has on some of you younger people. It’s like a vacation away from the real world (ironic isn’t it). However, if thats the case bill it as: VACATION: Denver. Not the Real World: Denver because it is anything but real. Back in the day, during RW: NY, RW: LA, RW:SF all the way up through RW: Boston it was a fantastic show. Perhaps you and the others only see the show for what it is now, and chance to gain some fame, and at the same time party your ass off. Not a bad trade off - gaining notoriety while doing absolutely nothing. I can’t blame you - but just don’t kid yourself that this is a great show. It once was but not anymore. Don’t think just because you want to slut around and be a completely drunken asshole - its justified because you’re on the Real World. Sweetie, you need to get a clue.
June 9th, 2007 at 4:57 pm
haha i dont want to slut around and drink. thank u very much. i just think that its really stupid that you think the show is actually like the “real world” theyve got cameras in their faces all day and they DO go out and party all the freakin time. and have sex and all of that. so why are u trying to tell me its about getting to know who u are?
June 12th, 2007 at 6:09 am
and i think its really stupid that you think the real world is about drinking and partying and thats what young people do. no, its what moronic brain-dead young people do (like yourself). believe it or not sweetheart, there are some young people who wants something more out of life. 1st season there was a black guy, african-amer. or whatever is politically correct that went on to appear on cnn as a political correspondent, and ran for office as mayor or something. the asian chick from 3rd season - became a doctor and married one of the guys who became a syndicated comic strip writer. now, lets fast forward - trishelle from vegas went on to … went on to … oh yeah went on to appear nude in playboy. get a clue love. feed your mind!

im only 15. and i am a virgin so therefore i think its really rude of you to say things about me if u dont even know me. i DONT slut around and i dont plan to. and i dont drink either. i make straight a’s in school and i plan to go to college and have a life. and i see the real world as a form of entertainment. to watch when i get bored and have nothing better to do.
June 12th, 2007 at 2:10 pm
well good for you AlexANDRA. but your contradictions are telling. initially you said:

So which is it Love? you’ll have your time for clubbing/drinking/having sex in a couple more years OR i DONT slut around and i dont plan to. and i dont drink either. so 15 or not, don’t argue what you don’t know. at 15 i would wager you had not seen what the Real World started out to be - so don’t throw your chips in trying to tell me this is what its about and i should get use to it. i look forward to this show dying because it has long since stopped breathing. i mourn what the Real World use to be and wish they would stop making them and allow it to die with dignity. i agree with you, what it is now is entertainment. when it started however, it was a ground-breaking reality series that chronicled the lives of seven up & comers. it was refreshing to watch. it made you take notice and root for them to succeed. now its just one drunken night at the local bar after another. i really wish you could’ve seen how it use to be, maybe you wouldn’t be so confused as to whether or not you will end up like Colie from RW:Denver or Pam from RW:San Francisco
June 17th, 2007 at 3:33 pm
You have to extend the show i guarantee if the real world is canceled mtv will be canceled shortly after! Their needs to be a Real World: Oklahoma City w/ Toby Keith as one of the cast members that would be so awesome!
June 17th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
I think there should be a Real World in at least a city in every state then take it international! The idea of going back to a city is bad for the ratings! Like Frank said on the RW: Las Vegas Reunited Brynns son needs to be on the real world 47!
January 18th, 2008 at 1:22 pm

i feel very sad that this may be the last season of the real world seeing as though i have been watching it from the first season with heather b. i also hope that they will extend the contract for 20 more seasons. and rest in peace mary ellis bunim.
