There isn’t a challenge for MTV to finding accompanying fresh meat for The Real World Road Rules Challenges as Fresh Meat 2 debuts on Wednesday April 7th at 10pm.
Its interesting that The Real World has been relegated as 2nd tier to the Challenges in viewership & ratings since The Real World DC was an all time low for the series.
Getting on The Real World is like entering the farm system by playing for a minor league baseball team that grooms you for the big show which is now the Challenges.
I know in working with the cast that being on the Challenges are at the forefront of their mind along with doing appearances since that extends their “TV time” and thus shelf life for doing appearances.
Fresh Meat 2 takes place in Whistler British Columbia Canada as alumni from Real World Road Rules as well previous Fresh Meat are paired with the new Fresh Meat which includes:
- Vinny
- Cara Maria
- Noor
- Laurel
- Pete
- Sandy
- Mandi
- Theresa
- Brandon
- Sydney
- Carley
- Jeff
- Luke
Previous Real World Road Rules & Fresh Meat cast members include:

- Wes of RW Austin

I've been watching Real World since its inception, and I have to agree that the RW/DC was a bust!! No doubt about it!!. The folks in the house were sub-par, at best. It had your usual inter-racial harmony, or should I say lack there of! The token gay, "no I'm bi- no I'm a straight dude???Blah~blah~blah.. Ginger!! Some lesbian hopefuls, Oh! excuse me, bi-sexual hopeful's, and the usual I'm talented, but I'm quite not there on the vocals yet!! Then a bi-polar, who should be on med's, crier by day, singer by chance, curmudgeon of sorts. Then a cartoon character who has yet to grow out of his onesse's, with the feet, as well! All in all, it would have tanked for sure, if it had been one of the first five episodes. Got to thank those producers & scouts for finding this Oh! so lame cast!! Even the after show was lame, one would think it was their first time scounting for house folks for the show?? Oh! well it had its time, so it's time to say "I'm glad we had this time together…Good Night!!"….
Enigma,
I would be shocked if the Real World gets picked up beyond season 26 which is what MTV has contracted especially since the production company was bought last month -http://www.mm-agency.com/blog/mtv-real-world/buni…
why do u doubt that the real world wont get renewed… its a staple on their network, I know ratings are slipping but they have been ever since they switched to thurs and made the episodes an hour long
they really need to stop picking the most stereotypical deushbag to play every single role. Every Italian thats named Vinny isnt a raging guido from NYC, and im so sick of watching these half-whited retards who think theyre athletic compete in these ridiculous games. They did get it right this season with all of the "combine" drills, but your going to tell me that they couldnt find another guy to compete with Noor?? I can think of hundreds of NCAA athletes or former athletes that would love to be on the show and are good looking enough to do so. Look at what happened when they put Alton on the show…HE NEVER LOST, exactly what happens when they put real athletes on the show..come on MTV stop half-assing it..ur not scaring anybody by bringing back 5'2 Derek who cant see over the counter or anyone of your male "roided out" actors that have the hand eye coordination of a 12 year old computer nerd. They have an ethnic template that they try to fill every year to get diverse drama, newsflash, nobody cares about that, we want to see goodlooking people doing crazy things and having a great time, AKA why Las Vegas did so well.
sometimes the best season were not necessarily comprised of just good looking people, it has to be a mix in every physical category you could think of. Because ppl have different people have different experiences which adds to the excitement, hawaii, san francisco those were good seasons, the only reason i remembered wes was because of his name and his antics in challenges. the rest of the cast blah
