Casting Calls for the 24th season of The Real World by MTV & Bunim-Murray Productions will begin in October 2009.
***Current Real World casting calls for season 26 have started in February 2011***
The initial casting call location for Real World 24 will be in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday October 10th from 11am to 6pm.
The venue in Indianapolis is the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery at 10 W. Washington St.
RiRa Irish Pub on 123 Church Street in Burlington Vermont may also be having a casting call at the same time.
The open casting calls in Southern California on Saturday December 5th seem to conclude the Real World 24 cast exploration process.
You can also request to setup an in-person interview if you live near the following cities:

I was told your age actually does NOT matter. As long as you appear to be between the ages of 18-24 you have as good of chance as any. After all they cast 30+ year old actors and actresses to play parts of high school kids everyday. What are your thoughts on this?
Bunim-Murray is pretty strict on the age limit for the Real World unless something changed recently that I don't know about.
Its very unlikely.

hi, i tried out in NYC back in October and haven't heard anything since? Does this mean I'm not qualified for the further rounds, or do they do the next steps after the first casting call of each city?

The call backs are never consistent, so there is still hope, but generally you do hear shortly after.

As long as you are 18 by the time filming starts that normally suffices.
So for season 24 you should be set if turning 18 by February.
How long does it normally to take to hear back from an e-mail? Also, I just saw on here that you can request an interview. Can I request an interview even if I sent in an e-mail? I'm kind of confused by this.
When you send in the email applying for the Real World you can also request an interview if in the area of one of cities listed above.
are you guys thinking about making a real world with older people say from the ages of 26-34 anytime in the future?

i def think pittsburgh is the way to go.. although it may not have been the recent year they won s stanley cup AND superbowl, they are known to be one of the most spirited cities in the country and I think it would really cool to see if it was true. I also know that there is alot to do there such as station square, the waterfront, and the south side and also many job oppurtunities.
