Mario’s blog was first to point out last week that there seems to be a plan that the final selection process for The Real World 20 cast will be an online vote.
Eric Weidner posted 2 weeks ago in this blog claiming to be a finalist and there will be a vote online as well a gentleman named Weston Ashley posting in a forum that in early May there will be profiles placed on MTV.com and fans will choose who makes it to the last round of casting.
There is nothing official from MTV on this yet but the president of MTV music group entertainment, Brian Graden, told the Los Angeles Times on April 17th that casting for The Real World will take place entirely online. He also confirms that The Real World is still MTV‘s top franchise but that the current Denver season’s ratings are the lowest in over 6 years since Back to New York.
