Top 10 Real World Casting Call Tips

There is a Real World casting call today in Ames Iowa, the same location Mallory Snyder (above) was casted for the Real World Paris. Since the Real World Paris Mallory has been modeling for JCrew, Abercrombie & Fitch, and even been in not one, but two Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues.

Tony Miros, Bunim-Murray casting coordinator at the Ames Iowa casting call, said the crew typically likes to host casting calls in college towns. He offered some tips before this casting call to the Iowa State Daily and I compiled other tips I have heard from casting directors at Bunim-Murray on how they choose people to be on the Real World from these casting calls:

1) Have strong beliefs.

2) Throughout the 18 seasons, there have been many recurring themes that get a rise out of cast mates and draw in audiences. In order to stick out among the thousands of prospects, take a strong stance on these themes.

3) With the political debate gearing up, holding strong political values is sure to be important. Those on the fence about issues or with apathetic views are likely to be cut early.

4) Without strong beliefs, you are not likely to stick up for yourself or create drama on either show.

5) Go above and beyond to impress those producers. Make sure to show your crazy side while still being yourself.

6) It’s those people you see at a party and can’t ignore them. It’s all about having personality.

7) It’s someone who is very opinionated that gets picked.

Being attractive helps, but is not the sole basis of being chosen.
