Ryan Getman, who is accused of sucker punching Danny Jamieson of The Real World Austin, is again facing charges of aggravated assault which can carry up to 20 years imprisonment.
In April 2007 the aggravated assault charges were dismissed as reported on the MM Agency Blog on grounds of double jeopardy since it was argued previously in a motion to revoke his probation from an unrelated theft case.
On Thursday May 1st, 2008 this was reversed by the 3rd Court of Appeals in Austin as reported by The Austin American-Statesman.
This will again revisit the charges incurred in January 2005 as it was aired in the first episode of The Real World Austinwhen Danny was pulled to the ground by one person and the accused is alleged to have punched him in the face.

On this Valentines Day in 2008 news of The Real World Austin cast members Melinda Stolp and Danny Jamieson’s wedding date has been announced to be on Saturday August 2nd, 2008.
The news is much better than what Danny received back on Valentines Day in 2005 as it is the day his mother passed away during the filming of The Real World Austin.
Danny announced he and Melinda’s wedding plans at an event appearance at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa on Wednesday February 13th, 2008.
Danny and Melinda were engaged just before The Real World Austin Reunion Show in 2005 and was televised during it.
They also have the intention of having children within the next 3 years and most likely reside in the Boston area.
Rumors of Melinda being pregnant or having her engagement ring paid for by MTV or Bunim-Murray Productions is false.
No news if they will be filming the wedding to be aired on MTV.

Johanna Botta from The Real World Austin on MTV will be appearing at the 2008 Miss Peru Universe as Miss Peru USA.
The pageant will be in Lima Peru on Wednesday April 16th, 2008.
Johanna Botta is currently in Peru but lives in the Phoenix Arizona area although you can see her now on The Real World Road Rules Challenge Gauntlet 3 on MTV.
You may have also seen Johanna along with fellow Real World Austin cast member Nehemiah Clark as spokespeople in TV commercials for FreeCareerInfo over the past year.

Ryan Getman age 30, who was the person that punched Danny Jamieson of The Real World Austin cast while he was on the ground, may now have that aggravated assault charge dismissed as reported by the Austin American-Statesman newspaper.
The incident happened during the filming of the first episode of The Real World Austin in January 2005 as Danny was leaving a Sixth Street bar when an argument ensued with the group Mr. Getman was part of.
Danny Jamieson’s eye socket was crushed by the punch landed by Ryan Getman which caused Danny blurry vision and immense pain shortly after leading to surgery.
The punch was filmed and turned over to the Austin Texas authorities which lead to Mr. Getman’s arrest in May 2005.
The reason why the judge will probably dismiss the aggravated assault charge is because of double jeopardy, meaning you can not be tried for the same crime twice.
A separate court case in another county of Texas litigated previously the aggravated assault charge in question when trying to revoke Mr. Getman’s 5 year probation for a felony theft charge that happened in 2002.
I find this to be an odd twist to what you would think is an air tight case of assault which occured in front of a camera crew and viewed by millions of people.
