Real World Denver House is Now a New Theorie Rather Than The Abbey

August 17th, 2007 at 11:14 am PST by Michael Martin

real world denver house theorie

The Real World Denver house is now called Theorie as opposed to The Abbey which it was originally projected to be named.

Theorie opened the 2nd week of August 2007 at 1920 Market Street in Denver Colorado as a restaurant and martini bar.

It was originally going to be called The Abbey but had to revise the naming due to a copyright conflict with a different establishment.

The Denver Post description of Theorie:

The second-floor living space, once home to many a reality-TV drama scene, will open soon as a new wine store. But the pool that people saw on the TV show is missing, and the stairs have been removed. Now the entry is flanked by two long full-service bars, one on the three-season outdoor patio to the left and one inside the main bar area to the right. Inside, several dining areas offer elegant tables, cozy booths and two banquette-lined lounge areas.

The décor is certainly creative, if chaotic, mixing vintage opulence, modern simplicity and LoDo loft style with mixed results. It works brilliantly in the entry; look up as you walk through the front doors, and you’ll see a large piece of ornate iron scrollwork on the ceiling, along with a modern chandelier of red glass ribbons and a brick wall dotted with twinkling red-beaded sconces.

The patio feels like a different place altogether, with mod brushed-steel tables, a long, sleek steel bar and a casual back lounge area. The inside bar mixes things up with plush plum-colored banquettes and throw pillows, white molded-plastic chairs and bare brick walls, and the dining areas follow the vintage route again with sparkling chandeliers, dark tables and sheer curtains.

One private dining area goes all out, with a gazebolike circular space enclosed by white crystal-studded curtains, containing a round glass table and a glittering $20,000 crystal chandelier. Walk into the VIP lounge, and the décor changes again, this time with low black tables and couches, and zebra-upholstered wall cushions.

Real World Denver Cast 2007 MTV Movie Awards Comments

June 8th, 2007 at 3:55 pm PST by Michael Martin

Jenn Grijalva, Stephen Nichols, & Brooke LaBarbera from The Real World Denver were at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards last weekend and they spoke about their post Real World perspective as seen on A Socialite’s Life website.

The Denver Real World cast as a whole do not have any aspirations or feeling of entitlement to be actors.

Brooke is perhaps the most open to the possibilities of an entertainment career as she has previous experience appearing in music videos.

Davis & Colie are both planning to move to Los Angeles this summer but more for a change of scenery than anything else.

The MM Agency being the agency working with the Denver cast I can speak to the fact they are very easy to work with and professional in their appearances and lectures.

This may in large part be to the fact of having a proper perspective as to who they really are and being fairly well grounded by that.

Real World Turn Ons According to the Denver Cast Members

April 9th, 2007 at 9:55 am PST by Michael Martin

real world turn on

Five cast members of The Real World Denver were asked to discuss their turn-ons and turn-offs at savvymiss.com

The Real World Denver cast members responses came from Stephen NicholsBrooke LaBarbera, Alex Smith, Jenn Grijalva, & Colie Edison.

Stephen talks about the fact that most men need to improve their pillow etiquette rather than take examples from porn or Anchorman.  His ideal woman is based on Beyonce and a properly trimmed “nether-region”.

Brooke admits she is an extremely sexual person but lists a slew of turn-offs which include bad breath, excessive body hair, overall bad hygiene, and being submissive.  Then she provides advice on what to avoid such as not being selfish in bed, losing your enthusiasm, and lack of communication.

Alex then takes over and elaborates about the female breast or “booby” in this case.  He breaks it down to the nipple, areola, and then the breast itself.  Oddly he ties this all in with Chunk from the Goonies doing the “Truffle Shuffle”.

Jenn likes men that are in shape and take care of themselves especially their odor, skin, & teeth.  Most of all she recommends not to name your body parts or even worse to name hers.

Colie discusses the importance of being confident, honest, and adhering to your standards.  Her turn-offs are back hair, guys with long fingernails, and men who use cherry-flavored chapstick!?!
