parisa intelegance what is it

Parisa Montazaran from the recently completed season of The Real World Sydney  on MTV mebeliwill be debuting her single “What Is It” of her debut album Intelegance in New York City on Friday May 9th, 2008.

Parisa played ”What Is It“ to Spring Break crowds at nightclubs in Acapulco to test their reaction in March.  The fact the crowd didn’t skip a beat and danced wildly to the song led Parisa to take the next step by bringing it to the Real World of New York City.

The song begins with a Persian theme which morphs into a hip hop beat and comes across as both very professional and catchy, especially in a dance club environment.

The debut itself will be at Club Duvet on 45 West 21st Street (5th & 6th Avenues) in New York City, New York.

It will begin on Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 10:00pm and last until Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at 4:00am.

Trisha Cummings a Victim of the Real World Politically Correct

August 15th, 2007 at 11:14 pm PST by Michael Martin

trisha cummings racism

Trisha Cummings of The Real World Sydney is currently being tagged by accusations of being a racist on the basis of her conversation describing a situation in which she could not understand a service person’s attempt at English.

As reported in Sydney Australia’s The Daily Telegraph, The NSW Anti-Discrimination Board contacted MTV as they were concerned about them airing this particular footage on The Real World.

Her recollection of events when she describes this situation has no mention of race or ethnicity and there was no direct footage of the incident, so for what anyone knows it could have been a white Australian with a thick Australian accent.

Only upon some investigation, beyond anything Trisha stated or hinted at on the show, it turns out the service individual is an Asian Australian.

I stated to the The Daily Telegraph my diagnosis of the footage after speaking with Trisha about the situation:

Cummings’ agent Michael Martin has fought back at claims she is a racist today, by telling News Limited her comments were taken out of context in the TV editing process.

“Trisha is distraught by this misconception that she is racist,” Mr Martin said.

“The edited video footage in question merely has her conveying in the second hand a person’s lack of ability to speak English and not disparaging their race or ethnicity.”

This is concerning to me as these excuses to disparage someone as a racist whereby race is never mentioned or truly underlining within the statement but simply to vilify someone for not liking what they said.  This devalues the term racist by reducing its meaning to the severity of someone’s true ignorance and prejudice.  A similar call of racism was attributed to Michael Savage for stating those on a hunger strike for illegal immigrants to get a reduced price green card in San Francisco to simply starve themselves to death as that would solve the problem.  It may not be something people like to hear but again racism did not come into play within the statement.

The only thing Trisha is guilty of is a both a lack of patience & empathy for others but of course that can said of most of us in The Real World.

This is expressly my opinion and not that of Trisha Cummings or MTV as to get either you must contact the MTV PR staff.

KellyAnne Judd is Nervous About The Real World Sydney Premiere on MTV in 2 Weeks

July 25th, 2007 at 12:58 am PST by Michael Martin

kellyanne real world

KellyAnne Judd is nervous about the premiere of The Real World Sydney on MTV that occurs in 2 weeks as she has already seen the first episode and knows her typecast has already been set as the “crazy bitch” of the season.

KellyAnne was diagnoised with ADD at a young age as she was easily distracted at the most random of times which resulted in a variety of medication she took growing up until she saw a nutritionist who prescribed natural medicine.

This greatly affected her in considering a career in natural medicine as she feels a lot of parents, including hers, are made to feel that if they don’t give their children the medicine they are recommended that they are bad parents so she wants to show parents and kids that there are other options.

During the Sydney Real World she would break out in random laughter and seemed unstable during the season which caused issues that she would usually run away from in a normal setting but being in The Real World house forced her to confront them a la Brooke from The Real World Denver.

Because of this she feels she grew and learned the most of the entire Real World Sydney cast from this experience.

Isaac Feels The Real World Sydney Needs More Stout

July 23rd, 2007 at 12:12 am PST by Michael Martin

isaac stout

Issac Stout brings his high confidence and entertainment value to the upcoming MTV Real World Sydney season.

Issac is 21 years old from Cleveland Ohio but is attending Arizona State in Tucson, which is the same college as Alex from the previous Real World Denver season.

*** CORRECTION - Issac studies at the University of Arizona, NOT Arizona State which Alex & Wes from the Real World Austin attended. ***

He has been an entertainer since birth winning freestyle battles, doing stand up comedy, and MCing events through college of which he felt allowed him to be a better Contiki tour guide during the Sydney Real World.

All this entertainment and Real World stuff to him is simply a launching pad toward his ultimate goal of being the President and then running the world….not sure if he meant running the world as President or that was just a stepping stone toward the world domination gig.
