- Mike tried out for The Real World by tagging along with a friend to the Denver area audition although he didn't care about the show as he never watched it
- Michael Manning was a straight A student & jock in high school then once he came out he has been passionate about fighting for equal rights & alternate energy
- He had lobbied Congress for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act & repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell with the Human Rights Campaign
- Mike Manning contemplated moving back to DC to futher his political pursuits from being on The Real World DC cast
- Michael was acted in a romantic comedy film eCupid debuting in March 2011 & a cheesy horror film Gingerdead Man 3-D: Saturday Night Cleaver set to be released in May 2011
