- Fresh Meat came about due to the hiatus of Road Rules so new people had to be cast for the challenges to keep them "fresh" hence the term.
- The Fresh Meat Cast first appeared on Monday May 29, 2006 and then some of these cast members appeared on later challenges.
- Approximately 4 years later a 2nd set of new Fresh Meat was introduced on March 31st, 2010 as The Fresh Meat 2 premiered on April 7th.
