- Ty graduated with an Economics degree from Trinity College in May 2009 where he also was on the football team
- Tyrell happened to be at the Black Bear Saloon in Hartford Conneticut during Spring Break where auditions for The Real World were held and a bartender convinced him to try out
- He was adopted at an early age in one of the most violent cities of America but through education & dedication rised above his surrondings
